Where this fits

This is the hardware subset of our full IT AMC.

A computer AMC covers the physical device fleet: desktops, laptops, printers, UPS units, monitors, and peripherals, with preventive maintenance, repair, and parts handling. It deliberately does not cover servers, networking, WiFi, Microsoft 365, or cybersecurity; those live in the full IT AMC, and this contract slots straight into it whenever you are ready to widen scope.

  • Choose this contract when your pain is device uptime: dead laptops, failing printers, ageing desktops
  • Choose the full IT AMC when servers, network, email, or security are also on your plate
  • Upgrading mid-contract is pro-rated; the asset register and service history carry over as-is

What a computer AMC covers

The whole device fleet, one contract, one calendar.

A computer AMC is the hardware layer of IT maintenance: the machines your team touches every day. Every device on the register gets scheduled preventive care, break-fix repair with a turnaround target, and a documented history from deployment to retirement.

Desktops and workstations

Quarterly internal cleaning, thermal paste renewal where temperatures drift, disk health checks, RAM and PSU diagnostics, OS patching, and same-day break-fix when a machine will not boot.

Laptops

Battery health reports each visit, hinge and keyboard repair, screen and SSD replacement, thermal servicing for machines that throttle, and standby units for covered critical roles while repairs run.

Printers and MFPs

Roller and pickup-assembly cleaning, fuser and drum replacement, print-queue and driver fixes, network printing repairs. HP, Canon, Epson, and Brother serviced without vendor callouts.

UPS units

Load testing and battery health checks every visit, battery replacement before failure rather than after, runtime verification against what your equipment actually draws.

Monitors and peripherals

Display faults, docking stations, keyboards, mice, webcams, headsets. Small items fail constantly in a 100-device office; under AMC they are swapped, not debated.

Break-fix repair with turnaround targets

Faults reported by ticket or email get an engineer response inside 30 minutes under the managed SLA, an on-site visit the same business day where hands-on work is needed, and a 48-hour repair turnaround target.

Spare parts, handled your way

Comprehensive plans include parts in the fee. Non-comprehensive plans bill parts at cost with your written approval first. Standby units cover critical roles either way, so nobody sits idle.

Asset tagging and inventory

Every device tagged and logged: make, model, serial, warranty status, assigned user, service history. You get the register in month one and keep it even if you leave.

Retirement, data wipe, and disposal

End-of-life machines get a certified data wipe, removal from the register, and documented disposal through e-waste channels. No drives with company data sitting in a storeroom.

Preventive maintenance schedule

What the quarterly visit covers, device class by device class.

Preventive maintenance is the half of the contract that break-fix support never gives you. Four visits a year, each working through the full register on a signed checklist. Machines in dusty or hot rooms can be moved to a heavier cadence at the quarterly review.

Why GR IT

Four reasons Hyderabad fleets sit on our register.

Operational facts, the kind you can verify by asking any of our references.

Dispatched from Gachibowli

Engineers reach HITEC City, Madhapur, Kondapur, Gachibowli, Begumpet, and Secunderabad the same business day. We do not subcontract on-site work.

Brand-agnostic hardware bench

Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, and Apple for computers; HP, Canon, Epson, Brother for printers; APC, Vertiv, Microtek, Luminous for UPS. We service what you own.

Turnarounds in writing

30-minute response under the managed SLA, 48-hour repair turnaround target, quarterly visit calendar. Every target measured, every miss documented in the monthly report.

150+ active AMC contracts

Four years of maintenance operations across Hyderabad. The failure pattern on your three-year-old laptop batch is one we have already fixed elsewhere.

Exclusions, stated upfront

What a computer AMC does not cover.

Every AMC has exclusions; the difference is whether you learn them at signing or at claim time. Ours are in the contract and repeated here. Anything on this list can still be fixed, it is simply quoted in writing as out-of-scope work first.

Excluded on every plan

  • Consumables
Toner, ink, cartridges, ribbons, cables, and batteries for wireless keyboards and mice. Predictable running costs, not maintenance.
  • Accidental physical damage
Drops, liquid spills, cracked screens from impact. Repairable, but quoted per incident.
  • Flood, fire, lightning, theft
Insurance events, not maintenance events. We assist with replacement sourcing and data recovery quotes.
  • Pirated or unlicensed software issues
Faults traced to unlicensed OS or application installs. We will quote licensed replacements instead.

Depends on the plan you pick

  • Replacement parts
Included in the fee on comprehensive. Billed at cost with prior written approval on non-comprehensive.
  • Standby units
Included for flagged critical roles on comprehensive. Available as an add-on otherwise.
  • Devices you exclude from the register
Personal machines and legacy gear can sit outside the contract entirely; they simply get no coverage.
Fleet profiles we maintain

Six common device fleets, one maintenance discipline.

The mix of desktops, laptops, printers, and UPS varies by sector. The cadence of care does not.

SME offices

10-50 devices: laptops for staff, a couple of shared printers, a UPS on the network rack. Our most common computer AMC profile, usually on the comprehensive plan.

Retail and F&B

Billing desktops, receipt printers, back-office PCs, UPS units keeping tills alive through power cuts. Standby units matter most here; a dead billing machine stops revenue.

Professional services

Laptop-heavy fleets for lawyers, accountants, and consultants. Battery health, screen repairs, and fast standby swaps so client work never waits on a repair bench.

Clinics and diagnostics

Reception desktops, report-printing MFPs, UPS-backed machines attached to lab equipment. Preventive visits scheduled around patient hours, not ours.

Schools and training institutes

Computer labs of 30-100 identical desktops. Batch preventive maintenance in vacation windows, keyboard and mouse attrition handled by the crate, lab uptime for exam season.

Real estate and site offices

Showroom desktops, site-office laptops that eat dust, printers for agreements. Machines in harsh rooms get a heavier cleaning cadence written into the calendar.

Comprehensive vs non-comprehensive

The one decision that shapes your hardware AMC.

Both plans include the same visits, the same engineers, and the same turnaround targets. The difference is who pays for parts when something fails. Scope descriptors below; amounts come in the written quote.

Device lifecycle

Repair, replace, or retire: how we call it.

An AMC that repairs everything forever wastes your money on machines that should be retired. Lifecycle management is built into the quarterly review, with the repair-or-replace call made on data from your own register, not a sales target.

When we repair

Repair is the default while it is economical: the machine is under 4 years old, parts are available, and the fix restores full reliability rather than postponing the next failure.

  • Single-component failures: SSD, RAM, battery, PSU, fan, screen
  • First major failure on a machine under 4 years old
  • Parts available inside the 48-hour turnaround target
  • Repair history on the unit shows no repeat pattern

When we recommend replacement

Past a point, repairs buy weeks, not years. We flag it in writing with the service history attached, and the decision stays yours.

  • Two or more major failures on the same unit in 12 months
  • Board-level faults where parts cost approaches unit value
  • Machines that can no longer run supported OS versions
  • Desktops and laptops past the 3-5 year refresh window

The 3-5 year refresh rhythm

Well-maintained business desktops and laptops give 3-5 dependable years. The register tracks age per device so refresh happens in planned batches, not panic purchases.

  • Refresh forecast for the next 12 months at every quarterly review
  • Staggered batches so no single quarter takes the whole cost
  • Certified data wipe and e-waste disposal on every retired unit
  • Redeployment of healthy older machines to lighter roles first
How onboarding works

From fleet audit to a running maintenance calendar in two weeks.

No long sales cycle. We count and inspect the fleet, put the plan in writing, then start the calendar.
  1. 1

    Fleet audit

    1 day

An engineer walks your office and inspects every desktop, laptop, printer, UPS, and monitor: age, condition, warranty status, existing faults. Pre-existing damage is photographed and logged so coverage starts from a clean baseline.

  2. 2

    Asset register and proposal

    2-3 days

You receive the tagged asset register and a written proposal: comprehensive or non-comprehensive per device class, turnaround targets, visit cadence, standby-unit list. The register is yours to keep either way.

  3. 3

    Maintenance calendar

    1 week

Devices are physically tagged, the quarterly visit calendar is agreed around your working hours, standby units are staged for covered critical roles, and the reporting format is set with whoever owns IT internally.

  4. 4

    Operations and quarterly review

    Ongoing

Quarterly preventive visits, break-fix tickets against the turnaround targets, monthly service reports, and a quarterly review covering failures, ageing devices, and the refresh recommendations for the next quarter.

Turnaround targets

What happens, and how fast, when hardware fails.

Targets, not marketing numbers: each one is measured against tickets and reported monthly. Response is time to an engineer working the ticket under the managed SLA; turnaround is the target to hand the repaired or replaced unit back.
FailureResponseKeeps you workingRepair turnaround target
Laptop dead or will not boot30 minutes, on-site same business dayStandby unit within 4 business hours (covered critical roles)48 hours; up to 5 business days if parts are sourced
Desktop failure30 minutes, on-site same business dayStandby or internal reallocation arranged on the spot48 hours for component swaps
Printer or MFP down30 minutes, remote queue and driver checks firstJobs rerouted to the nearest working printerSame visit for mechanical fixes; 48 hours if parts needed
UPS fault or battery failure30 minutes, treated as urgent for billing and server-adjacent unitsLoad shifted to healthy sockets where wiring allowsBattery swap within 48 hours from stock
Monitor or peripheral fault30 minutesSpare swapped from stock at the next visit or same day if blockingSame day from common-item stock
We run 85 machines across two floors in Madhapur. Before the AMC, a dead laptop meant someone idle for a week while we argued with a repair shop. Now a standby arrives the same day, the repair follows in two, and the quarterly cleaning has visibly cut our failure rate.

Secunderabad retail chain
Challenge

9 stores, 60 devices: billing desktops, receipt printers, UPS units. Power cuts were killing tills mid-transaction and no one tracked which UPS batteries were dead.

What we did

Non-comprehensive plan (newer fleet, mostly in warranty), quarterly UPS load testing across all stores, battery replacements from stock, printer roller servicing on the same calendar.

Outcome

Zero till outages from UPS failure in 12 months. Parts spend visible and approved in writing before every replacement.

9 sites on one calendar
Begumpet training institute
